Ingredients

For the dough:

40g marzipan
180g softened butter
150g sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of ground cinnamon
1 pinch of cardamom
1 egg (medium)
100g ground almonds
280g flour

For the filling:

300g mixed berry jam
150g softened butter
2 tbsp icing sugar
60g dark chocolate
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp rum

For decoration:

Dark chocolate glaze
Pistachios

Christmas recipe

When snow falls softly outside and the scent of cinnamon fills the air, Christmas is just around the corner. This time of year warms the heart and brings a smile to the face—memories come alive. We're giving you this Christmas feeling in the form of a recipe to bake at home.

Preparation: Finely
grate the marzipan. Knead together the sugar, salt, cinnamon, cardamom, and marzipan. Then add the almonds, flour, and butter in small pieces and work everything into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for about an hour.

Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of about 3 mm and cut out circles about 5 cm in diameter. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes, remove from the oven and leave to cool completely.

Gently warm the jam, spread it on half of the cookies and distribute evenly. For the filling, mix the butter, powdered sugar, melted chocolate, cocoa, and rum into a smooth cream. Spread this on the jam layer and assemble the cookies.

Finally, coat the pieces with cake glaze and garnish with pistachios.
