Eclat

Description (detail)

ECLAT, the white counterpart to ELECTUS, embodies the freshness and complexity of the Alpine Valais terroir. The label translates this interplay with the carnation of the mural in the parish church of St. Jakob in Mund in the Upper Valais. The silver-coloured flower on a steel-blue background symbolizes the coldness of the glaciers and the sharp-edged rock; the finely painted flower head stands for both the complexity and the delicate aromas of this great white wine.

Words from the winemaker

Provins

Provins is the reliable and committed partner of Valais viticulture. With over 2,000 shareholders, mainly winegrowing families, Provins has proudly worn the colors of Valais throughout Switzerland since 1930. The winery is known for its history, its tradition, its know-how and its innovative spirit. Thanks to its 1,200 winegrowers spread across the entire winegrowing region, it produces around 100 different Valais wines and expresses the richness of the terroir of the entire canton. With a cultivated area of around 600 hectares, its production accounts for almost 13% of Valais wine production. Provins is characterized by an exemplary regularity in the quality of its wines, which are produced in both small and very large quantities.

Valais Mundi
The sunny Valais, the Rhône, the mountains covered in eternal snow. A terraced vineyard shaped by history. A unique diversity of terroirs. The certainty and know-how to produce highly expressive wines. Welcome to Valais Mundi's enchanting world: a Provins product line born from the conviction that the emblematic grape varieties of Valais, combined with terroirs of outstanding quality, produce wines of the highest expressive power.

Les Titans
The wines mature under extreme conditions inside a dam wall in the Swiss high mountains and defy time. They reveal the precision of a world first, combining the spirit of innovation with the boldness of inspiration. The conditions in which the barrels mature in the dam wall are unique. The low air pressure and constantly low temperatures ensure that the wines mature slowly, taking up to two years.

Petite Arvine

«A great Valaisan with an international reputation.»

The Arvine grape is certainly one of the most interesting indigenous grape varieties that grows only in Valais. Arvine is often called Petite Arvine to distinguish it from Grande Arvine, an inferior grape variety that has disappeared today.

The bouquet of Arvine is strong, very characteristic, with delicate scents of grapefruit or flowering wisteria. Arvine is one of the noblest grape varieties. Vinified dry, Arvine has a masculine character marked by an interesting salinity and structured acidity. As a late harvest, it acquires a remarkable harmony without losing its typicity.
